Emma Hartmann is a passionate music educator at Sierra Elementary and a committed union organizer serving as COAT (Community Outreach Action Team) Chair. With a background in both classroom teaching and community activism, she advocates for equity, joy, and justice in education. Her work is grounded in unlearning exclusionary practices and amplifying student voices. From bargaining for her AMP (art, music, and PE) colleagues to building partnerships through Grub Club, Emma is dedicated to creating a system where every student’s basic needs and full humanity are honored. In her free time, she enjoys singing, playing piano, skiing, and hiking.
