Our family moved to Lakewood in 2009 from Arizona. I am happily married and have two sons who are currently enrolled in Jeffco schools, one in 7th grade and the other is a Junior in high school. We also have 3 furbabies that keep us busy. My favorite things are alpacas and margaritas. I joined PTA the day my oldest son went to his Kindergarten welcome night 10 years ago because I was an excited mom just wanting to be involved. I thought I was signing up for bake sales and planning fun events. What I learned is that PTA is really about advocating for students through various means such as: community engagement, teacher support, enrichment programs, etc. Since then, I have served as Secretary, VP, and President at different schools in Jeffco along the way. I am passionate about advocacy and building stronger, more engaged school communities.
